Storm before the calm: Last day of work before some much needed R and R

The excitement for my upcoming four day mini self care marathon kept me from being able to fully focus at work. As soon as I clocked out, the homebody in me couldn't return fast enough.

First thing I did was do a bit of quick cleaning, shower, throw on my comfiest clothing and make myself dinner. The comfy clothing and slippers are a must for any self-care relaxation session. After a satisfying meal, I sat on my balcony to watch the sunset. Luckily there was still some daylight left. Even though as an introvert, I really have a hard time constantly working with people, I am grateful to get out of work early enough to where there is still a couple hours of daylight left for me to enjoy, especially in the summer.

I enjoy crafting and journaling as relaxation methods, so I made myself some iced tea, got thoroughly medicated and sat down for a session.

Delicious Cream Black iced

This tea is called Cream Black, one of my faves both hot or iced. I suppose I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to tea. This one is a high quality loose leaf. It goes through a German company who sources the best quality teas from all across the globe and tests it for pesticides and any other contaminants, that would hinder purity or taste. They then send it to another third party company that tests it even further! Pretty thorough and a great selling point for a germophobe like myself. You can just taste the amazing quality in every sip. Wow, I sound like an ad! But I love mixing the caffeine buzz to the high of my medicine, if you know what I mean?

Creative journaling and crafting can be relaxing

Anyways, it was great to just relax and journal and look forward to my upcoming days of relaxation. I think I'm going to call it the Self-Care Mini Marathon. I ended up purchasing some makeup from my fave brand, Melt Cosmetics and I'm making plans to pick up some of my favorite food tomorrow! So I'm stoked for that. TREAT YOURSELF!
